The image above is by one of my favorite illustrators, Kinuko Y. Craft, in fact I actually do have a poster of the image of above, she created it for Patricia McKillip's Song of the Basilisk. I cannot think of a better modern pairing of illustrator and writer, Craft's dreamy baroque illustrations complement McKillip's beautiful strange dream world language. I admit I think I have bought books because of Craft's lovely illustrations. The scent I chose to go with today perfectly complements Craft's illustrations: Mille et Une Roses, a heavenly dreamy rose.
