SOTD: Cuir de Lancome

I seem to since August stepped into some bizarre surreal world and I am going to say it possibly "hexed" life, now you are probably wondering about the melodrama, but as many readers remember about three months ago my computer went "klabooey" so I bought a new one that has not lived quite up to my expectations it had issues shutting down, but yesterday officially takes the piece of cake, I had used my computer yesterday morning with no issues, I got home yesterday afternoon, and turned it on to find that it had got rid of all my documents, somehow how unloaded microsoft office, and completely got rid of its own original settings, setting itself back to some setting it had never been in the first place when I had it, so I then decided maybe to try and fix it, only to have it make it so I could not even log into the computer. So in answer to this frustration I have decided I am going to smell like a powerhouse: Cuir de Lancome layered over BBW Velvet Tuberose, I literally want to have the attitude of "SUCK IT!" to whatever obstacles might come into my way today. Although I will say this I was lucky enough to have a dear friend to loan me their computer, considering I have a paper due on Monday.

SOTD: Cuir De Lancome

In my own fragrance tradition world on Sundays I like to wear relaxing comforting scents, but on Fridays I usually try to wear something spirited or luxurious, today I am going with the luxuriously chic, Cuir de Lancome, but because I love contrasts I wearing my favorite H&M watermelon top with my black and white floral print skirt and black flats. Giving off the idea of dry and utterly feminine. After work visiting my grandmother, who I admit I adore, we usually talk about cooking, books, and my career in the library. As for fragrance and my grandmother, well she doesn't wear any, but she cracked me up years ago, when I received the present of a bath soak that was fragranced with patchouli and musk, and my grandmother looked over at me said "Jen that is a very sex scent with the musk and patchouli." I loved this comment because it had been a long time since I had heard anyone remember that musk and patchouli are traditionally considered sensual scents.

SOTD: Cuir de lancome

So I needed something different after the heavy floral use of the last couple of weeks and the weather is cool enough at the moment to bring out the rather divine Cuir de Lancome. Feeling a bit tired this morning; never a good sign, but hopefully will have a good day. I realized that Cuir reminds me a great deal of Bal a Versailles but Bal a Versailles is heavy on the incense (really do need to get a bottle of this one.). Have a lovely day.

SOTD: Mille et Une Roses

So it would appear that I had disappeared, well I did basically a week after suffering a horrifically crappy flu. I have not been this sick in a very long time. For two days i was a wonder who barely got out of bed and well the dishes that piled up were not a pretty sight. Luckly I had a sweet boyfriend (with his own insane schedule) that took the time to provide sustenance and medicine and very sweetly flowers. Yesterday I received my package of Cuir de Lancome; which may be one of the most short lived fragrances on the market, it appeared to be out for a month, and then was taken quickly off the market due to it being to expensive to be made. Ironically around Christmas time I ended up getting a bottle of Mille et Une Roses, which in its wonderful packaging ended up including a little pamplet describing all the fragrances in Lancome's La Collection series, and lo and behold it has the deliciously hilarious blurb description of Cuir de Lancome, which never actually officially reached US soil or US Lancome counters. Until about a week ago when parfum1 (no affiliation) got it and it appears also that beautyencounter (no affiliation) is also stocking it, but have no idea when they got it in. Well with my still horribly stuffed up nose my observations of Cuir de Lancome is that it is no scent for casual events or spring weather, I won't be wearing it for a while except for late night sniffing. So I instead have opted for the voluptously angelic Mille et Une Roses which is a part of the lovely La Collection with its most ridiculous description blurbs.
